As the hotel has the private beach and sea side, we made morning short walk for exploring the surroundings before the breakfast.



Of course making pictures for us as Japanese habits😉.



Then we saw such holly sunshine through the clouds.

After the breakfast, we explored the island to Shimanami-kaido by walk. My sister became to be high with cat hands and transferred to me🐱.





And again the holly sunshine😍.

Continued to walk the Shimanami-kaido. The first photo shows interdict the normal car to Umashima where our hotel is located. The third photo is the placard of Kurushima-Kaikyo 2nd bridge.



A little bit details: the Kurushima strait is well known as hard stream because it’s rapidly change directions with whirlpools and many accidents occurred at the channel. So this construction of the bridge was desperately demanded and overcame numerous difficulties by developed self propelled autonomous adjust location ships, durable materials, etc. This unique triple suspension bridge is also considered long life maintenance and earthquakes.
The hotel gave us the free voucher for citrus picking at Ooshima another island, so we planned to visit Kirousan at first and then going to the citrus picking farm.


The Kirousan viewing platform was designed by architect: Kengo Kuma who has also designed Tokyo Olympic stadium.

And then went to the farm for citrus picking.




After the excursion, we enjoyed aperitif(all included in the hotel fee) with seeing the sunset from the hotel.

And then the dinner was again excellent with rich materials such as Ise-lobster, abalone, monk-fish liver, etc. We also ate Soba-noodle as the habit of new year’s eve in Japan.
