Ise Jingu: Japanese highest rank Shinto shrine trip is still popular and favorite trip for Japanese people. My first visit was 2 years ago by 3 days programmed by travel agency and this year was only a half day by own plan. To be honest, it’s too short both time for spending the time for Ise Jingu.
Here’s tipps for visiting there after 2 trips.
1. It’s highly recommended to go there early morning because you can feel more the fresh air with serenity. As here is the highest rank of shrine, there are anyway always a lot of people visiting from Japan and foreigners nowadays.
2. It’s better to plan to have plenty of time for spending both Naiku(内宮) and Geku(外宮). As it has 125 shrines inside and the premises is same size of centre of Paris. In addition, the surrounding street has full of attractive shops and appetizing restaurants.
Well, now I’m writing my first trip because it’s complete procedure for visiting Ise-jingu😉.
Our first day was as like former time’s idea, doing Misogi: cleaning the body by water before visit Ise shrine, Ok not possible now but just visiting another shrine: Futami-okitama jinjya(=shrine), along to the sea. It’s famous for the couple rock in the sea as photo.

After visiting there, we went to the hotel which has Thermal bath, Onsen inside. The dinner with Ise-Lobster was OK as the level of tour trip but it was very early, at 5 PM, I assume it’s definitely for the convenience of travel agency and the hotel😑.
